Bitbond is global peer-to-peer bitcoin lending platform. Small businesses can get short term and long term bitcoin loans (subject to creditworthiness). As a lender you can earn interest on your bitcoins by funding interesting projects from around the world. Bitbond does a thorough borrower credit check so lenders can better assess the risk and return profile of projects.
While Radko (Founder of Bitbond) helped to restructure a financial institution in 2010, he had the idea to replace the core function of a bank (taking deposits to grant loans) by an efficient marketplace where borrowers and lenders meet directly. He saw that such a thing already existed - it is called peer to peer lending. The internationality of Bitcoin enables worldwide peer to peer lending.
