The Capital Innovators® start-up accelerator program was created
by Judy Sindecuse in 2010. After extensive research on entrepreneurship
in St. Louis, Judy concluded that the region’s earliest stage IT
companies required better access to funding and mentorship in order to
flourish. St. Louis already possessed a high quality talent pool, world
class universities, and an incredible roster of global corporations. By
bringing these resources together, she founded the region’s first
accelerator program, Capital Innovators. Subsequently, Judy’s program
was utilized by Capital Innovators, LLC, in the management of the STL
Tech Fund, and is presently operated by Capital Innovators Accelerator,
LLC. Both Capital Innovators, LLC and Capital Innovators Accelerator,
LLC are managed by Judy.
Capital Innovators provides tech startups with the resources and connections they need to get to the next level.
We provide $50,000 in seed funding, mentorship from
a seasoned pool of knowledgeable experts, stellar perks, educational
and social events, and the opportunity to pitch to angel investors and
venture capitalist firms at the end of the program.
Although we receive hundreds of applications for our 12-week
Accelerator Program, we can only accept five companies per class. We run
two cohorts each year – one in the Fall, and one in the Spring. Make

Expectations for the program
- Dedicate 12 weeks to working on your business.
- Develop the business model and structure your pitch for Demo Day.
- Work independently on your business and collaboratively with the other companies in the class.
- Take part in, and add value to, the scheduled Capital Innovators events each week.
- Live in, and become part, of the vibrant entrepreneurial community of St. Louis.
