Slovenia Crowdfunding is a national initiative for researching, developing and building crowdfunding culture in Slovenia.
It was established in 2012 as a reaction to unprosperous economic conditions in the country. In two years excellent results are already showing. Slovenian entrepreneurs crowdfunded more than 2 million dollars, new campaings on global platforms are launched monthly, new crowdfunding platforms are developing, changes of legislation are in progress and general public (potential backers) are widely familiar with the concept.
Our work is lead by:
- absence or difficult availability of capital to finance projects in the field of creative industries and social entrepreneurship;
- creative potential, enthusiasm, passion and talent of the Slovenian and regional creative communities;
- curiosity to explore crowdfunding in theory and practice as an effective approach to raise capital.
