Happylab

Just one click to turn your ideas into objects! Happylab is Austria's first Fab Lab and offers low-threshold access to digital fabrication tools such as 3D printers, Laser Cutters, CNC milling machines und Vinyl Cutters.

 

Happylab, Austria's first "Fab Lab" - a place where ideas and projects can be brought to life with the help of 3D printer, Laser Cutter, CNC milling machine and Vinyl Cutter. The term "Fab Lab" (engl. "fabrication laboratory") describes an open high-tech workshop where various objects can be built with digital fabrication tools. 

Between the years 2008 - 2010 Happylab was established within the framework of an EU project. In November 2010 we opened our lab in Vienna, in autumn 2014 our second Happylab will open its doors in Salzburg. More locations are being planned.

Individuals as well as businesses and associations can use the digital fabrication tools at Happylab for their own projects. Every Wednesday at 7 pm we're hosting a tour through the lab especially for first-time visitors.

The 4 steps to become a Happylab user:
1. Come visit us!
Every Wednesday (workdays) at 7 pm we're hosting a tour through Happylab - especially for first-time visitors. No need to register, just drop in!

2. Membership
For 5 euros per month you can use the machines at Happylab for your own projects! We also offer special packages for people who want to work on their projects outside our opening hours.

3. Trainings
Before you can use the digital fabrication tools at Happylab, you first have to complete our training courses. These trainings take place on Wednesday evenings (workdays) and are free of charge for Happylab members. You can find current training dates in our calendar.

4. Make things!
