Smart Choices Texas has a mission to improve the lives of children and youth in danger through our STEM Education after-school program, domestic disaster relief and street outreach for homeless teens. After-school is the tipping point for many youths because their lives can become toxic due to their environment. Our goal is to create an enriching atmosphere in which they will thrive, become active and healthy in both mind and body.
When disasters strike – families with children are the most vulnerable, therefore we are onsite to bring a sense of normalcy by providing essentials like water, food and clothing to survivors. Lastly, we aim to reduce human trafficking by providing homeless teens with emergency care packages, a ride to a safe bed and case management which includes job placement and supportive services to permanently get them off the street. Our other services include Jobs for Veterans, Re-Entry, and Workforce Development programs.
