Solon believes that a successful venture is achieved through vision, energy and drive. Solon works in partnership with companies that have that vision, bringing with it that same energy and drive that it has identified in the entrepreneurs.

Geography

Solon will make new investments only in UK companies. The team has extensive experience of international investing, and is therefore motivated to help these companies take UK technology and capability into the global marketplace.

Size

There is no minimum investment size, with a maximum from Solon's funds of Â£1m. Solon is able to introduce companies to other potential sources of investment, both from its investor base as well as external relationships.

Sectors

Solon invests broadly across the healthcare and technology sectors. Business models need to be able to generate cash in the reasonably short term, which prevents us from investing in certain fields within the sectors.

Stage

Solon invests across all stages of development, actively looking at early stage opportunities, and co-investing in the later stages. Solon is capable of investing in those more mature companies that need less capital, but want support in taking their opportunities.
