General information:

Consumers want to discover new brands and products, however as there are millions of online stores, they don’t know where to begin! SME online brands have problems with excess stock and struggle with high acquisition costs due to increased competition in existing growth engines.

We have a website and mobile application with which our users are able to discover new brands and products within 2 – 3 clicks, and our brands can direct valuable traffic to their websites and sell product in an easy and affordable manner. We search for suitable SME brands online and we charge them to appear in our search engine, to advertise in our newsfeed, and to sell products through our platform.

Our current users consist of both men and women here in Spain, however with a greater budget they will be from the United Kingdom and Germany, where they spend much more online per capita per year (on average €1065). We are targeting young adults between 15 – 35 (which within these 2 markets makes a potential audience of 36 million people) because they are technologically savvy and active online.

Based on their internationally recognized reputations for fashion and design, our brands are primarily from Spain, France, Italy and the United Kingdom.

To acquire our users we implement both inbound marketing strategy (SEO, Email blasts, Social media, Blog) and outbound (Adwords, Facebook, Instagram, Influencers). We retain our users by quickly responding to their requests and feedback, sending them push notifications, publishing original content, obtaining desired discounts/offers and by consistently working to improve our service. To acquire our brands we discover them online, and sell them our service by email or telephone.

There is no platform that offers exactly that which we offer. However we do have competitors in the same market including but not limited to: 21 buttons, Drestip, Octer, Asos, Trend AV, Privalia and Vestiare Collective. These applications are all product and transaction oriented and generally limit their offering to a small number of very well known brands. Contrastingly, Sort a Shop serves as a curated source of brand-‐oriented information, and we already have over a 1000 brand profiles uploaded in our search engine, carefully analysed and tagged such that they appear in our style and product browsing categories.

Our competitive advantage lies in the quality and quantity of content that we publish, and in the visually appealing, simplistic and user-‐friendly manner we present it. We are the only service that focuses on SME fashion and homeware brands from several distinct markets, and under the guidance of Inbound Marketing Expert Monica Diaz-‐Ponte Penedo (La Nevera Roja, Digital Addiction), we will quickly become global leaders in the mobile ecommerce sector.
