Stonehaven Technology have recently installed their ‘Guardian’ Flood and Weather risk management application with Sainsbury’s Supermarkets. The application enables a comprehensive understanding of rivers and seas and surface water risk to individual stores, continually processes hyper-local weather data and allows recording of flood mitigations and the preparation of contingency plans such as the deployment of flood defences or actions for the removal of stock.

An automated alerting system is also included within the application, with information sent to users by SMS and e-mail, dependent on established business rules and management structures. Social media monitoring is provided, which can be configured specific to user requirements, to achieve enhanced situational knowledge during an evolving crisis situation. The Application is suitable for all companies with a number of premises and Facilities Management Companies who wish to expand the digital scope of their operations.
