General information: 

We build aerial robots which combine the advantages of fixed-wing airplanes and multicopters. 

Aerial robots promise to revolutionize agriculture, inspection, filming, and transport. However, current platforms fail to deliver this promise. Multicopters are limited in range and speed, while fixed-wing airplanes require wide open spaces, catapults or runways for take-off and landing. 

In contrast, Wingtra develops aerial robots that combine the advantages of multicopters and fixed wings. Our system takes off and lands anywhere, while flying farther and faster than any other fully automated aerial robot. 

With our product, we aim to have a positive impact and improve search & rescue chains, facilitate humanitarian aid, protect large wildlife areas and increase agricultural efficiency.

Wingtra Aerial Robots

Multirotors are constantly pushing air downwards which is energetically inefficient. Contrasting this, fixed-wing aircrafts use lift generated by a wing. Wingtra brings the two together – Multirotor and fixed-wing in one.

This is a result of years of sophisticated research and hundreds of hours spent in simulations and wind tunnels. Together with ETH Zurich, we are advancing our technology close to the research frontier of non-linear control, path planning, and perception.
