How you'll make an impact at Collibra:

We're expanding our Support Engineering team in Brussels with the addition of an Application Support Engineer. Collibra’s Application Support Engineers provide support that increases Collibra’s credibility as an organization with world-class personnel and processes that can be relied upon as customers increase their product usage.  

A day in the life of an Application Support Engineer at Collibra:

You’ll be reporting directly to the EMEA Support Engineer Manager, and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Managing all communication with customers and partners required to resolve technical support requests; Zoom, Zendesk and Jira are your daily tools.
  • Providing white glove service during incident management
  • Creating clarity on customers issues, troubleshoot them and assess if support tickets are known or new product bugs
  • Resolving support tickets within the limits of contractual service level agreements (SLA)
  • Coordinating and tracking of escalated tickets
  • Contributing your experience and technical knowledge to the Collibra knowledge base

You Have:

  • 3-5 years experience in a customer facing role, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technologies or Computer Science
  • Previous software support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting web-based enterprise applications
  • Experience working closely with software developers
  • The ability to explain IT jargon to non technical people
  • The ability to shift hours to cover international customers
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to approach and solve problems in an analytical and methodical manner
  • A desire to support a Saas cloud solutions leveraging tools built by our cloud-ops team
  • Knowledge of SQL Databases and other data source types
  • Any of the following skills are a huge plus:
    • Experience with Java and REST API
    • Experience with the command line on Linux
    • Knowledge of secure connections, Authentication and Authorization aka SSL, SSO, and LDAP
    • Proficiency in business-level German and/or French
