Assistant Manager - Projects & Analytics (m/f) – Freight Network

Wayfair’s Freight Network team is looking for an Associate - Projects & Analytics to drive projects and initiatives that support the operational scalability of our EU business, and facilitate the development of a pan-European freight network.
The Freight Network Associate will report directly to the Director of the European Freight Network and support across all major projects for the freight network helping to coordinate across different teams within the freight network as well as across the rest of the organization. This role has potential for high visibility right from the start
The Associate will have the ability to jump head-first into cross-functional projects. This role will require sifting through large amounts of data, drawing conclusions and interacting daily with stakeholders from several teams, including: Category Management, Warehouse Operations, Supplier Operations, Engineering, Merchandising, and more. This is a role for someone who thrives working on cross-functional projects with a “can do” attitude, the willingness to get to the bottom-of things and an eye for details.
Responsibilities include:
- Work and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations teams and Senior leaders in helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
- Coordinate project reports to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Prioritize competing interests and focus project plans on the highest impact activities
- Support in the coordination of project logistics, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation and consolidation of materials
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent
- Intermediate to advanced Analytics in Excel Required
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, and creative problem solving skills
- Interest and eagerness to gain a detailed understanding of operational processes and the ability to conceptualize them
- Ability to work cross-functionally and motivation to move beyond existing practices
- Innovative problem-solving skills – dissect and determine root causes of problems, and implement solutions
- Thoughtful, articulate communication style
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-reliant and able to motivate others
- Open-mindedness to take on increased responsibilities as the position advances
