We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer who enjoys solving hard problems related to managing mountains of data coming from cars. These problems include communication with cars, creating microservice architecture for analyzing, aggregating, processing and persisting data while caring about stability, robustness and scalability. Research, optimization and producing beautiful code will be your daily goal.

1. Main tasks & responsibilities

• Take responsibility for development of part of M2M system
• Work in Java/Scala to develop microservices
• Write tests
• Cooperate with other R&D and other teams as well as product team

2. Requirements

• Good knowledge of Java and Spring framework
• 4+ years of experience working on backend services
• Good understanding of software engineering principles
• Knowledge of build tools (Gradle/SBT)
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with GIT version control
• Good English skills, both in verbal and written form
• Fast learner, open and eager to take on new technologies
• Proactive team player who is not afraid to take initiative and improve things

3. Ideal candidate (optional)

• Knowledge of timeseries databases(Influx)
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases(Cassandra)
• Experience with AWS and Docker
• Experience with Kafka
• Knowledge of Scala
• Passion for getting things done
• Understanding why testing is important
