Job Description

We’re looking for talented engineers to join us in entry-level software engineering roles. These roles are ideally suited for talented graduates with a background in computer studies or a similar discipline and a keen interest in Big Data analytics, machine learning and data science.

We’re ideally looking for graduates who are fluent in French and English so they can work closely on some key client projects with French multi-national enterprises as well as with the UK engineering and client team.

We're looking for graduates who can already code and want to develop their skills developing commercial software for the web using a variety of modern programming languages and tools.

You’ll be working in a team environment using the latest methodology and techniques to develop world-class marketing software and tools.

You’ll be mentored by one of our senior engineers who will help develop your skills across the whole stack from front-end to back-end.

There is scope for fast career development as your skills and experience grows developing complex web applications in a multi-technology environment. We believe in using the right tool for the job, so you will be exposed to Symfony, Doctrine, Python, Tornado, Java, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Apache Spark, Toku DB and graph databases such as Neo4J and Titan.

We constantly try to improve ourselves and follow industry best practices, so code reviews, CI, automation and knowledge sharing sessions are all part of the picture.

You will be part of an integrated dev/ops team, which means you will be responsible for your code right through to production and technical support.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Graduate in computer studies or a similar subject 
• Experience with a modern PHP framework and MVC (Symfony 2 preferred) 
• PHP and JavaScript OOP skills 
• Proficiency with Python or Java 
• Experience in writing SQL queries and with NoSQL databases 
• Practical commercial development experience working in an agile environment 
• Desire to learn the latest big data technologies and machine learning/data-science techniques to deliver new insights for clients 
• Advanced mathematics 
• Fluency in French and English (other European languages are an advantage)

Desirable skills and experience:

• Strong OOP skills - Live by the SOLID principle 
• Excellent problem solving, creative thinking and self-motivation skills 
• Able to prioritize, execute and deliver projects on time 
• An interest in front and backend development, web UI development and usability 
• A keen interest or passion for SEO, machine learning and data-science
