Senior Designer

The Senior Designer at GoEuro plays a key role in pushing forward the design and the future of the GoEuro user experience. They are part of an extremely collaborative process that works toward creating a product that makes travel planning simple personal, and easy to use.

About Design at GoEuro: 

  • We have a unique, data-driven process and designers understand the impact of their decisions on business and metrics.
  • As a counterpoint, designers are also compassionate to the user, aware of the limitations of quantitative analysis, and able to act on nuanced insights from qualitative research like ethnography and usability testing.
  • Projects are overseen by Design Leads, but every designer is responsible for envisioning the creative direction and solution, and then expected to execute on the agreed solution while respecting the agreed deadlines.

What we look for in a Senior Designer: 

  • A strong background in interaction and user interface design, with deep knowledge of how designs change in different screens and platforms.
  • Proven experience shipping successful, user-driven work in a product design environment.
  • Proficiency with interaction design methodologies and tools like Sketch, InVision, and Adobe CS.
  • Strong understanding of how visual and motion design impact user experience and product usability.
  • Can articulate user needs as well as the details of navigation and flows, UI transformations, and different screen states.
  • Ability to be self-directed when needed.
  • Collaborative and willing to mentor other designers to help raise their quality of work and develop in their careers.

Senior designers at GoEuro are asked to:

  • Design and deliver high-fidelity solutions through end-to-end flows, prototypes, and screens (including behaviours and states) for mobile, desktop web, iOS and Android apps, and emerging platforms, employing a variety of approaches (sketches, diagrams, mock-ups, etc.).
