About the role:
As a Business Development Associate for New Health Business, you will play an important part in initiating new partnerships and customer relationships, helping grow our B2B sales in North America.
Your role will be to take entry leads and seek new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential customers.
You will actively work with the product team, based in Paris, to identify and adapt the offer to the needs of the potential customer. As a member of the New Health business team, you will work closely with the Sales planning and finance team to help better forecast and plan. You will also work with the marketing team to support the roll-out of our events and communication strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Use CRM tools to receive and qualify new leads from our b2b website and other channels
- Make initial contact with potential clients/customers and understand their needs in order to identify business opportunities
- Work leads assigned to you and develop them through the full sales cycle, from first contact to final negotiations
- Work with remote product and technical teams to adapt our offer to the specific requirements of individual clients
- Follow our market closely, actively seeking out new leads and new opportunities to develop our business in North America and improve our offerings
- Help develop sales forecasts to support planning and finance teams
- Coordinate new customer onboarding and handoff to Customer Success Manager
- Collaborate with Marketing team to develop B2B marketing strategy
Requirements
- Passion for Withings' mission of creating health-enabling technologies
- Enthusiasm for the potential of technology to improve people's lives
- Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse global teams
- 1-2 years experience in business development or account management preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented; strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Multiple languages and previous international experience a plus
- Good judgment and independent decision making
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) preferred
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
This position will be based in our Boston, MA office and will require occasional travel to customer meetings, trade shows, and events.
