Rimac Automobili is looking for an engineer to help build the next generation of electric vehicle powertrain control and state estimation systems.

 

As a Control Engineer – Motor Control, you will design algorithms which control traction inverters and other high-voltage power electronics. Your algorithms will be implemented on custom-built Rimac hardware, and you will have the opportunity to test them on a testbench as well as validate them on a real vehicle.

 

 

1. Responsibilities

  • Developing control algorithms for electric vehicle powertrains
  • Developing state estimation algorithms for electric vehicle powertrains
  • Performing Model-in-the-loop testing
  • Using optimization algorithms with test automation to quickly test multiple hypotheses and converge on an optimal solution
  • Defining and overseeing Hardware-in-the-loop and dyno testing
  • Analysis and interpretation of test data
  • Documenting test results and producing technical documentation

 

2. Requirements

  • Experience with field-oriented control of synchronous machines
  • Experience with at least one commercial power electronics simulation package (e.g. Matlab/Simulink)
