Creative Intern

Distilled is looking for a smart, motivated, and passionate intern to join our team of creatives, designers, developers, data journalists and PR executives in London.

The Creative team produces compelling content for a wide range of well-known brands. Our work frequently receives coverage from high-profile sites including The Guardian, Wired, TechCrunch, Huffington Post and the BBC. It serves our clients’ needs to earn press coverage, social shares, and brand awareness.

About the role

As a Creative Intern, you will learn how creative digital campaigns are created and executed. Your internship can be a blend of work in creative ideation, design, project management and data journalism.

Examples of daily activities for your internship could include:

  • Assisting with design needs for new client pitches
  • Participating in ideation meetings for new creative projects
  • Researching and validating creative concepts
  • Attending creative sales pitches
  • Writing blog posts for the Distilled website
  • Writing copy
  • Prospecting for PR and promotion
  • Quality testing before launching new content
  • Data research and analysis

Whether you are a designer looking to expand their knowledge of how an agency works or natural story teller with an interest in data-journalism, your manager will work with you to create an internship that is tailored to your personal learning objectives.

Requirements 

  • A self-motivated personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Working knowledge of design and typography principles
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Appreciation of visual content and data visualization
  • Passion and interest in digital media
  • Be within one year of graduating a university
  • Able to work up to 35 hours per week - our program is a paid internship
