Customer Service Assistant (LBG/0417/594724)

Job details

With us, it’s about more than giving great service to our customers. It’s about being yourself, being a valued member of the team, and being recognised for the contribution you make.

Right from the start, we’ll give you full training and all the support you need. So you don’t need previous experience of finance or banking. We’ll help you develop all the skills you need, and if you are eligible, you’ll get the opportunity to gain an industry qualification working towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services. We’ll help you develop all the skills required to process transactions and make recommendations on our wide range of products and services

Whether you’re greeting Customers at the welcome desk, serving them at the counter or at any other area of the branch, you’ll make the most of your talent - talking to people. Understanding their needs, you’ll identify the best ways for us to help them.
We’ll need you to bring experience of helping customers, answering queries and sorting out any problems. You’ll need the ability to balance the demands of paperwork with meeting and talking to customers, and to keep up-to-date with the Industry. And, as well as taking responsibility for your own work, you should be a great team player to help make your branch a success. Our customers don't stop at the weekends and nore do we. To ensure we are there for our customers, we also need you to be able to work Saturdays

In return, we’ll make sure you’re well-rewarded. As well as a competitive salary, generous holiday allowance and contributory pension scheme there’s good bonus potential. You’ll enjoy a flexible rewards option that allows you to choose additional cash or pick from a wide range of benefits including retail discount vouchers and private medical insurance.

Not only that, but you’ll see your career grow with us. You’ll thrive in our busy, customer-focussed environment, enjoying the challenges and rewards that come with dealing with different customers and different queries every day.

Salary advertised is full time equivalent, and will be pro rata for any reduced hours vacancies.

Please note, if we receive a high volume of candidates, the vacancy may close early, so don't delay in submitting your application.

Our vision of being the best bank for customers is dependent on every colleague committing to and demonstrating our core value of "putting customers first". In joining us you'll have a role that matters and will contribute towards the Group achieving our vision through your day-today actions being performed in line with our Codes of Responsibility and Group Policies. By individually and collectively committing to our Group values and codes, we will be able to make a difference together and help Britain prosper.

We're also committed to employing a diverse and inclusive workforce, reflective of the customers and communities we serve – where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit.

We're proud to have received the following industry recognition: 'Stonewall Top Private Sector Employer', 'Top10 Employer for Working Families', 'The Times Top 50 Employer for Women' and both 'Gold Standard' and "Best Workplace Adjustments Process" from the Business Disability Forum – each demonstrating our commitment to the principles of agile working and inclusion for all.

So if this sounds like a culture that you'd like to be a part of then be assured that we'll welcome your application.
