

Data Product Manager

Do you have the wits to progress clients' current product by helping them define, validate and deliver brand new experiences? Can you synthesize everything you have learned into a solution that will help people to do things better, and clearly articulate value of such solution to a customer?
As a DPM, you will use all the aforementioned skills to understand client's current product, their vision and strategy and help them to design analytical experience targeted to following audiences:
- External - typically ISVs who are embed GoodData and deliver powerful insights and analytics in their own product, or companies who can offer insights and analytics to their large customer or partner networks
- Internal - typically vertical businesses such as finance or insurance, who need to deliver analytics to their teams and optimize their own business processes.
Your job is
To become the partner of choice to the customer and their stakeholders, and help them with
- Understanding of GoodData platform capabilities
- Definition of business and functional requirements
- Analysis of business processes, workflows and roles; with the objective of finding out how analytical & reporting solutions can support their business goals
- Conducting strategy workshops to establish product/solution vision, facilitate solution design discussions, listen and ask the right questions, challenge decisions
- Understanding to target users, their work habits, and their ability to work with analytical solution. Drive solution design towards real adoption among the end users.
- Educating stakeholders around BI best practices, actionable analytics, and data visualisations and interaction
What we expect from you
- Always put customer first - this may require the ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changes in business and solution negotiations.
- 2+ years relevant work experience with consulting type of engagements
- Product Management experience
- Strong negotiation skills, being able to paint vision and work strategically as well as tactically towards a specific goal.
- Business acumen, excellent presentation, listening, and writing skills
- Ability to set and manage customer expectations and to negotiate appropriate resolutions to issues
- Need to stay current with industry trends, as well as become familiar with the competitive landscape and evolving technologies
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and collaborate with internal and external team players to create solutions to meet client needs
- Self-directed with the ability to manage simultaneous engagements with minimal supervision
- Hands-on, agile approach
- Demonstrable experience taking an idea from theory and analysis into a market launch
- Willingness to learn technical basics of GoodData platform
It will be a great advantage
If you have an experience with
- Describing your thoughts and ideas not only through words, but also through mockups, wireframes and drawings. Interaction design skills preferred.
- Designing, managing and implementing projects for multinational enterprise clients
- Verticals (Insurance/Finance for example), and how they measure their business
- Design thinking methods
- Business Intelligence projects
- SQL and databases
