We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist, who is passionate about crunching numbers, algorithm development and enjoys building systems that please users.

The Data Scientist will work on highly complicated challenges in the e-commerce industry. As a Data Scientist, you will take a significant part in the growth process of one of the fastest growing marketplaces, working with dedicated business units on growth opportunities and new ideas. You'll work closely with our R&D and Product departments, provide them with advanced data researches and insights, using state-of-the-art statistical and machine learning methods and algorithms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the various departments in the company to provide advanced Data Science solutions end to end.
• Use advanced NLP techniques to better understand user intent.
• Implement advanced machine learning techniques in an environment of high volume,velocity and variety of internet traffic.
• Be creative in identifying and suggesting further initiatives where data science may facilitate and improve existing processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 5 years experience in the field of Data Science.
• Advanced degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science related exact sciences.
• High level of SQL and proficiency at least one of the following: Python/Ruby/R.
• Big data experience
• Experience with Spark - an advantage.
• Experience with Deep learning, ensemble methods, NLP and text mining an advantage.
• Good knowledge of statistical theory and proven record of successful implementation of machine learning algorithms
• Ecommerce/Internet experience - a plus ; Startup Spirit.
