DevOps - Lead Developer

This is a DevOps position where you will be playing the role Lead Software Developer. Your role focus on code development, automation and guiding junior team members to deliver quality, stable and secure mobile application.

Your need to ensure DevOps practices implemented in all platforms - framework, libraries, documentation, testing and standardization.

You will be part of a start-up cultured team in Malaysia’s largest telco, building capabilities for new digital products and customer channels. We value self-initiators, forward-thinkers and team leader.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Build and technically lead a team of engineers to deliver apps/portals according to DevOps framework and quality.
• Actively mentoring junior and senior developers to ensure delivery quality
• Identify the gaps and improve overall system stability and quality
• You will be part of Agile scrum team working alongside product manager, technical lead and developers. Participate in sprint grooming in application technical design and solution with Technical Lead.
• Plan and assign tasks to the development team, UAT support and bug fixes.
• Responsible for coding reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Responsible for designing and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, secured and responsive APIs
• Responsible for optimizing the mobile back end to maximize speed and scale it to accommodate a rapidly growing user base
• Perform a DevOps role, supporting developer operations to resolve customer’s issues.
• Lead by example of best/fastest in coding

Your Merits:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Javascript (ES6+ Syntax) and TypeScript, Node.js with Express, Laravel, React.js and redux, Linux OS
• Experienced in deciphering SQL
• Experienced with Git version control and Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins
• Experienced with REST API security OAuth / PassportJs
• Experienced working with AWS cloud platforms
