As our new Director Engineering, your contribution will play a crucial part in us reaching those goals. Your leadership and vision will take an already strong core team to the next level: a growing engineering organisation that constantly gets better at delivering great value to those who matter most: listeners and musicians.

In this role you will:

• Mentor and grow IDAGIO’s engineering organisation of 25+ experienced, pragmatic, and result-oriented engineers

• Be a positive role model in a company that cultivates a trusting, open-minded and inclusive work environment

• Recruit and retain top-tier engineers to expand the team while maintaining our values and culture

• Demonstrate hands-on project leadership for major cross-functional initiatives, actively driving strategic initiatives yourself

• Provide technical direction and guidance, ensuring availability and scalability of our technology stack, becoming a trusted partner to the company leadership and stakeholders

• Inspire the engineering teams with your passion for execution and delivering high-quality, reliable and scalable products. 

EXPERIENCE AND PERSONALITY TRAITS WE FIND RELEVANT FOR THIS POSITION

• Strong technical background, with a personal preference for remaining highly technical and up-to-date with the current technology landscape

• An outstanding engineering career: From shipping code to leading diverse teams, you’re a role model and able to inspire your team

• Deep experience with modern platforms & technologies, continuous delivery, and deployment

• You have a strong appreciation for personal and organizational growth, and can apply this passion to motivate and develop both the team and the wider organization

• You are known for attracting and retaining world-class, diverse technical talent — someone that people want to work for, and with

• In previous roles, you have actively contributed to strategy as part of a cross-functional leadership team, and you were able to communicate and translate it effectively for technologists and non-technologists alike

• Extensive, hands-on experience with product development methodologies
