Director of Real Estate Deal Management, Germany & Northern Europe

WeWork is looking for a strong analytical candidate to support our construction and real estate teams as a finance specialist. This person would be responsible for managing the forecast for rent, tenancy and profit share agreements across our regional portfolio. The role will also be responsible for managing the collection of tenant improvement allowances for our construction projects. A strong candidate should have prior experience abstracting leases and knowledge of commercial real estate.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Abstract key financial terms and build rent and tenancy cost schedules for new lease agreements
  • Maintain database of key financial lease information and utilize database to forecast rent and tenancy costs
  • Build financial models for revenue share agreements
  • Work with the construction team to ensure timely and accurate submissions of fit-out contribution allowances
  • Finance liaison between development & construction teams regarding financial status of all WeWork projects
  • Analyze financial data to create meaningful insights for construction and development cash flow projections
  • Coordinate with internal Development Project Managers during the build out process to ensure timely delivery of all documents and proper close out of buildings
  • Effectively report and communicate estimated monthly receivables and submissions and perform relevant analytics
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with landlords, general contractors and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years experience, Finance, Real Estate and/or Construction an advantage
  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CA, CIMA)
  • Prior construction finance experience, experience with GCs and subcontractors
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel (pivots, vlookups, if/then statements)
  • High degree of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail a must.
  • Ability to read and comprehend lease language is a plus
  • Prior work experience at a General Contractor or Property Management group preferred
