Financial Controller

BTC.com invites leading Finance Controllers to apply to join us in Amsterdam.

We are currently seeking a strong Financial Controller who will be responsible for the full finance operations for our Amsterdam office and coordinating with our international offices in a fast growth environment. The successful candidate would be a self starter who has worked within small teams, has in depth knowledge and experience of financial operational processes and procedures, and would be able to advise and act as a partner regarding all financial matters.

 Responsibilities

  • The financial controller will establish and oversee the BTC.com financial operational processes
  • This individual will be responsible for weekly, monthly and end of year annual reports including P&L, Balance Sheets and Forecasting.
  • Manage all transaction processing operations policies and procedures
  • Ensure that accounts payables are paid on time and all accounts receivables are collected by their due date
  • Maintain an orderly account filing system and a system of control over accounting transactions
  • Issuing timely and complete financial statements and reporting packages
  • Maintain and manage the annual budget and forecasting process
  • Advising on financial analysis as needed
  • Coordinate with our internal compliance team and external auditors for the year end audit and tax forms and RFIs
  • Comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Monitor enforcement of the Group’s Risk Management and Credit policies

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. A Professional Accounting Qualification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience, preferably in a small / medium enterprise with a solid understanding of financial control in a high transaction volume organisation
  • Must have strong experience and knowledge of Dutch financial regulations
  • Strong excel skills to include pivot table work.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written
  • Fluency in Dutch is preferred but not mandatory
  • You must have strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
