Frontend developer for Umbraco’s own media

Do you also believe that at work we should all be just a little bit crazy? Here at Umbraco we totally do. In fact, we can tell you just how much we’re crazy - 6,13%.

Our Communications and Online Marketing Astronauts (or COMA) are at the forefront of presenting that charming craziness (naturally, among other, not-so-crazy stuff) to the world. And today we’re looking at YOU, lovely person, who’s reading these shenanigans, asking if you would like to be one of COMA’s astronauts?

We’re looking for a full-time frontend development rockstar to help bring Umbraco’s online presence to the next level. Perhaps it’s you!

Qualifications

What we care the most about here at Umbraco is people. That’s why the most important qualification is your personality: who you are, what values you have and how you interact with other people.

You are our perfect match if you are:

  • A take charge and friendly personality
  • A team player
  • Conscientious and proactive towards others
  • Structured and dedicated to you tasks
  • Hungry for knowledge and willing to keep improving yourself
  • Possess creativity and enthusiasm for building fantastic products

Additionally, you are our ideal candidate if you:

  • Have experience with frontend web development and web application design.
  • Know about advanced CSS styling and other styling tools and frameworks.
  • Have a good understanding of user experience and design.
  • Relevant educational background e.g. BA/PBA level.
  • Are driven and able to recommend solutions based on the knowledge you gain through your work on our media.
  • Have a sense of ownership for your part of the business.

The role

We are looking for a frontend developer, who can help us stand out in the online world. Your primary goal will be focused on the roadmap for umbraco.com and other sites. On the daily basis you will:

  • Collaborate with COMA in solving current roadmap tasks.
  • Come up with suggestions of your own on how to improve our website and implement new ideas.
  • Continuous improvement of customer journey/experience and editor experience.
  • Stay up to date with all new Umbraco features as they are released and investigate how best to implement them across our media.
  • Help spread the beauty you create across any platform you can code on, such as websites, emails, apps etc.
