'GCP Cloud Engineer  Serve as client advocate in support of digital transformation to the cloud. Transform client cloud strategy into technical reality through the build and support of hybrid and managed public cloud landscapes.  Core RequirementsMechanical Engineer for BDS IDC at Engineer; 

Core Requirements:

  • Strong operational and engineering background in classic application and infrastructure landscapes
  • Deep understanding and demonstrated experience building and supporting networks and Projects within Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experienced in developing and releasing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible and native cloud offerings
  • GCP operational experience including Project onboarding, network troubleshooting and configuration changes
  • Experienced in public cloud enablement, including policies, network architecture, design and implementation
  • Capable of developing and releasing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible and native cloud offerings
  • Knowledgeable of relevant public cloud services, beyond IaaS (identity management, certificates, micro-services, integration, containers)
  • Participate in requirements workshops and build eventual solutions
  • Participate in workload mobility planning, integration and migration events
  • Industry certification in public cloud strongly preferred
  • Additional Requirements
  • Strong understanding of ITIL Foundations and ITSM tools (ServiceNow)
  • Must be willing to travel and participate in client engagements
  • Must embrace and progress the “managed services” aspect of cloud technologies
  • Knowledgeable in classic application architecture and cloud modernization strategies
  • Proven background in classic application and infrastructure landscapes including, network, storage, and compute
  • Work within a highly matrixed, global, managed services organization
  • Remain informed on the latest technological developments and industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver project deliverables on time and according to specification
  • Support operational requirements, including rotational on-call, as required
