Global Alliance Manager in APAC

What if you had the chance to work for a global company with a startup culture? The kind of company where you find the CEO eating lunch with a marketing specialist and a founder teaching an intern how to code better. With Liferay growing around 20% revenue YOY and 23 offices in 16 countries, we’re looking for someone who can use their strong sales background and experience navigating global system integrators to build long term relationships with these strategic partners in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Major Objectives

  • Work with the Senior Manager of Strategic  Alliances to strengthen and grow relationships with global partners in the Asia Pacific region
  • Coordinate sales and technical enablement sessions for global system integrators in region
  • Ensure global system integrators are receiving adequate training, certification, and support
  • Support offshore center of excellence and development offices for global system integrators in the Asia Pacific region
  • Assist with creating and maintaining global partner annual regional business plans
  • Develop a long term strategic plan for building current global partners and securing new ones
  • Travel of up to 40% as necessary

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in business to business customer service with an emphasis on Alliance or Channel Management
  • Experience working with and navigating global system integrators such as Accenture, Wipro, etc...
  • Global and cross-cultural experience
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent professional skills, including effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Proven ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time while paying strict attention to details
  • Flexible, proven ability to work well under pressure, adjust quickly to changes, meet aggressive deadlines
  • Technical knowledge, especially with DXP, portal, collaboration, and content management software a plus
  • Knowledge of the sales and delivery cycle of large scale enterprise consulting projects
  • Ability to talk with C-level members of a large global system integrator’s organization
  • Relationship based sales experience
