IP & Licensing Manager

WHERE YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

Our legal team is a trusted advisor, helping to foster innovation and facilitating business solutions wherever possible. As our new IP & Licensing Manager, your contribution will be crucial in building scalable structures, smart solutions, and efficient processes whenever we’re dealing with business partners -- both internally and externally.

In this role, you will work directly with our Director of Business & Legal Affairs in the following areas:

 

  • Support the legal and business affairs team in managing and monitoring all aspects of license and partnership contracts 

  • Assist with monitoring and administering royalty reporting to our licensing partners

  • Communicate with our external licensing partners, e.g. musicians and music labels, and be their contact person for questions related to licensing and royalty reporting

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of processes, documentation, and communication with external stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with our internal teams, mostly Finance and Business Intelligence

  • Draft contracts in English and German 

EXPERIENCE AND PERSONALITY TRAITS WE FIND RELEVANT FOR THIS POSITION

  • A Diploma or Master’s degree in business law, 2.Staatsexamen is a plus 

  • 2+ years’ work experience in IP law, contract management, and royalty administration, preferably in the music business

  • Tech­-savvy individual, proficient with cloud­-based document and database systems.

  • Ability to work independently and reliably on multiple projects, under tight timeframes and in a fast­-paced environment

  • You are an analytical thinker, a structured worker with a passion for accuracy 

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in German and English, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit

  • You are a team player and always ready to help others

  • A passion for classical music is a plus.
