Job Description

Do you have a passion for web development and want hands-on experience to start your career?

The Netcentric Academy training program ensures our new Junior Developers hit the ground running. From day one, you will be signed on as part of the Netcentric team and getting the right training to contribute in projects.

Will you take on the challenge?

 

What: Join our team as a Junior Developer, Frontend or Backend, and we provide 7 weeks of hands-on technical training in our Barcelona office, all expenses paid.

After successfully completing the Academy, you go back and join your local Netcentric team in Munich or Frankfurt and start working on projects.

Why: Jumpstart your career as a Frontend or Backend Developer and learn from our experts in the field.

Who: We're looking for recent graduates in computer science, software engineering or related studies.

Where: The Netcentric Academy training program is in sunny and beautiful Barcelona, Spain.

When: It starts November 5th, 2018 and lasts 7 weeks.

Qualifications

 

  • A proactive mindset, who shares ideas and brings them to life. We are looking for your passion, not your experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent professional education.

  • Passionate about web or Java development (you like debugging in Chrome, checking the network tab and working with server side components).

  • For brownie points, add links to your personal website projects on your CV

  • Know the building blocks of the web: HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (knowledge of frameworks such as jQuery).

  • Knowledge of Java and Servlets, and you program services for fun. (Requirements for Back End)

  • Having used JS frameworks and could suggest ideas to make them better.

  • Have used or develop RESTful Web Services (for Backend) and knows how to properly handle Json (for the Front End and Backend)

  • A maniac Unit tester. Can't conceive how to develop without testing.

  • A team player who helps and supports colleagues: you are as strong as your team.

  • Fluent level in English

  • Eligibility to work within the EU and/or Switzerland
