Junior Software Engineer

Your Role

As a junior software engineer on the engineering team, you would be reporting to our CTO. You'll work together with the head of support and the rest of the engineering team. You would get time to learn and acquire the necessary skills to build top-notch web and mobile products while helping customers get the most out of our products every day. Within 1 year, you will be an essential part of the engineering team building features independently.

As the ideal candidate you should have excellent communication and reasoning skills, and be excited about helping the company scale. Furthermore, you should be excited to learn how to build production-ready applications, take pride in software craftsmanship and value clean code. Knowledge of git and a scripting language (e.g. JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, Python, ...) are important, even if they're basic.

Last but not least, we use our own tools to actively coach you to become a better engineer. You'll go through a tested onboarding process, set goals and have regular one on ones to work on your personal development.

Our Team

We’re a small and collaborative team. We are about 30 people now, of which 7 are engineers. We get along well and genuinely enjoy working with one another.

Hard skills

- Know how to work with git 
- Notions of a scripting language (JavaScript, Ruby). Actual programming experience is a HUGE plus (most important thing for this role).

Soft skills

- An excellent communicator who can articulate and find the solution to a problem fast 
- Knowledge of Dutch and English. French is a plus. 
- Excited about helping customers and, again, finding a solution to their problem :-) 
- Excited to work in a high-growth startup, being able to throw yourself fully into a revolution 
- Being able to wear multiple hats and ability to kill tasks in a quick and clean way
