Lead SQA Analyst - Nutaku

About the Role

 

We’re looking for a Lead SQA Analyst to help build, scale, and lead our SQA team. You’ll be responsible for helping to develop and grow our SQA team. You’ll interface closely with the engineering, product team and strategic planning teams. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the quality of our platform.

 

About the Product

 

Nutaku is the world’s largest adult gaming platform dedicated to 18+ titles. The rebellious and multi-stimulating gaming platform was born in January of 2015 with the launch of our first three PC games. We have since grown to become the largest free-to-play browser and adult gaming platform in the world, boasting 300+ games, 40 million players, and over 150 million visits per month.

Nutaku offers wide range of gaming experiences on both PC and Mobile.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of distributed SQA Analysts located in Montreal and in multiple regions across the world.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
  • Mentor SQA Analysts to help them develop their QA skills.
  • Design, implement and execute test procedures.
  • Improve quality standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Work with engineers to identify key areas for quality improvement.
  • Gather requirements, make QA Analysis and thoughtful tradeoffs to ensure we are focusing our efforts on the most impactful projects.
  • Work with different development teams to facilitate unit and integration tests.
  • Investigate production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • Develop automation test scripts to automate manual test cases.
  • Utilize test case management and issue tracking systems.

 

Requirements:

  • Have prior experience testing the reliability of an API-based product.
  • Understand user requirements and how to convert them into proper test cases.
  • Can think intuitively about systems and services.
  • Can Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
  • Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems.
  • Successfully built a team, defined its mission, and executed on its goals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent experience (preferably technical discipline) is a plus.

 

Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Experience with test management tools (JIRA, Testrail, etc.) and source code management (SCM) tools (Subversion, Git, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience with automation (good to have programming background, API Back End testing, Postman, Java script, SQL, Katalon, Python, GraphQL).
  • 4-6 years of Agile QA/Testing experience in fast paced environments with primarily focus on testing Enterprise level software applications.
  • At least one year of experience in leading an SQA Analysts team.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Comfort with code-level debugging.
