The Role

We are looking for a Logistics Controller to join our European Logistics team. As an integral part of the team, the candidate is responsible to optimize and drive improvements of the logistics network. At Wayfair, we work with many different carriers to ship products, from small items such as spoons to large items, such as an assembled wardrobe, across all of Europe. So life in our logistics team never gets boring!
 

As a Manager you… 

• Liaise with logistics service providers and internal stakeholder across Europe
• Introduce an Invoice checking system (incl. invoice approval) and internal/external invoicing processes to identify and rectify discrepancies
• Deliver Logistics strategy to improve BCM/variable costs through product groupings, minimizing excess transport space etc.
• Deliver improved quality reporting system to drive business decisions and projects, as well as optimization of processes
• Analyze trends in financial data and highlight matters for potential action
• Validate business/budget plans and prepare monthly/annual closings with the Finance team
• Ad-hoc analysis of operations and individual projects to support the operations

Who Wayfair is looking for:

• You have 3+ years of experience in Controlling, Accounting or Tax consultancy and auditing
• You are fluent in English and another major European language, German is highly desirable
• You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get down to the operational aspects of freight transport and delivery
• You get right at the problem, find the solution and get people together or on the phone to make it happen
• You are extremely organized, meticulous and detailed oriented
• You are willing to travel across Europe to our Offices in London and Galway
