What are we looking for:

The Middleware Application Specialist will be working with a global team of individuals in supporting many large Middleware environments, providing Level 2-3 Operational support for Applications running on Microsoft or Linux operating systems.

Also he/she will provide technical analysis and design consulting support for major business applications and will be able to handle project and task deliverable commitments, system changes and application rollouts and upgrades.

Key accountabilities:

The individual should have hands-on experience working within an enterprise wide data center environment with various infrastructure management products, including but not limited to:

  • A minimum of 3 years of significant Microsoft Windows Server System Administration experience, day to day, hands on Microsoft or Linux Operating System experience in a large enterprise (datacenter) environment!
  • You must have a strong experience with any of: IIS, CRM, Biztalk, ISA/TMG/UAG, SecureGuard, Ikarus
  • Strong understanding of proxy and reverse proxy and use of scripting and automation tools
  • Rollout of applications and OS upgrades, as well as installation and configuration of a new server (application level)
  • Experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools, installation, configuration, problem determination, system recovery and security on the operating systems from above
  • Order and Implementation of Server Digital Certificates
  • You will be responsible for the analysis into situations and problems to resolve how to problem seek and the root cause of these problems
  • You are responsible for following change control procedures to plan/test/implement Infrastructure changes in coordination with business owners
  • You will work with documentation to acquire the necessary know-how specific to supporting this Linux environment and related deliverables.

If you have developer skills, this would be a plus!
