About the department

Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success - all working together help our customers adopt Cloudflare and create great Internet-enabled experiences.

About the Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) program is a 18 to 24 month program in which you will:

Create excellent customer experiences
Learn customer-centric sales skills
Become an expert in Cloudflare's product
Upon completion of this program, team members have opportunities to move into roles across the organization, especially in mid-market sales, customer success, solutions engineering, and sales operations.

Day in the Life of an Outbound BDR at Cloudflare: :

  • Own and operate your individual sales pipeline
  • Focus 90% on outbound sales, while balancing 10% inbound and marketing-generated leads
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders (account executives, marketing, sales operations, fellow BDRs)
  • Help lead BDR team-wide campaigns (we’re a collaborative group)
  • Identify target accounts with strategic timing and strong use cases
  • Write emails and letters you’d love to open; make calls you’d love to receive; ask compelling questions
  • Meet target quota related to number of qualified opportunities, value of sales pipeline, and revenue
  • Report, track, and manage sales activities and results using SFDC
  • Play an active role in the creation and iteration of team processes

  • Fluent English and Dutch

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms and the internet security market
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Treat your team members with respect and compassion
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Empathy and curiosity
