About the Team

This is a great opportunity to be an early member of a high performing sales team at a hyper-growth technology company. We are looking for ownership-oriented team members with excellent communication skills and technical curiosity as well as energy and enthusiasm. The Business Development Representative (BDR) role is an 18-24 month minimum role in which you will: 

  • Create excellent customer experiences
  • Learn customer-centric sales skills
  • Become an expert in Cloudflare’s product
  • Help find solutions for customers needs

After this role, team members can have opportunities to move into roles across the organization, especially in channel account manager, mid-market sales, customer success, solutions engineering, and sales operations

What you'll do

As a Partner BDR, you’ll develop new business opportunities through key Cloudflare partners.  It is your responsibility to identify targeted accounts and launch strategic joint campaigns between the sales team and our partners.  The key focus for this role is to increase the number of opportunities our partners register with us. Success in this role will be measured by meeting target quotas related to the number of qualified opportunities, the value of the sales pipeline, and closed business. We are looking for very strong individuals that can deliver consistent and aggressive growth achievement through substantial channel recruitment and partner development.  

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge, and experience

  • Provide channel support to Field and MM Representatives
  • Successful track record developing qualified pipeline with Channel partners
  • Receive and respond to inbound partner leads and Channel marketing events 
  • Develop marketing campaigns with key partners
  • High volume outbound prospecting (100+  activities/day) to qualify leads through calls, emails, Linkedin, and joint partner initiatives  
  • Willing to travel 25-50% 
  • Excellent relationship building skills both internally and with our partners
  • Bachelor’s degree or previous relevant experience as a BDR or inside channel account manager required
  • Self-motivated; entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms
