Practice Manager- Delivery
Overview
The Delivery Manager for TIBCO’s Professional Services Group identifies client needs and then determines how to meet the needs within the context of the business and in a cost-effective manner. The DM is responsible for overall allocation of resources while maximizing delivery utilization by monitoring gaps in resource availability against client needs and driving towards set targets.
What You'll Do
- Monitor all future resource requests related to pipeline opportunities ensuring the required information is accurate and captured - opportunity close date, resource role, required skills, start/end date, total hours, geography, etc.
- Review customer orders and plan and drive delivery activities.
- Build positive and productive working relationships with customers for business growth.
- Analyze and troubleshoot delivery issues in a timely fashion.
- Oversee daily activities of delivery team and provide direction and guidance.
- Perform resource allocations and workload assignments according to delivery requirements.
- Ensure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellence.
- Evaluate the performance of team members and determine training needs.
- Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
- Analyze customer orders, set delivery priorities and make schedule adjustments to meet timely delivery goals.
- Perform customer negotiations for delivery rates.
- Develop process improvements to achieve cost effectiveness and time saving.
- Make critical business decisions to meet customer expectations.
- Develop scope and budget for delivery projects.
- Report delivery status to customers and develop required delivery documentations.
Who You Are
- Minimum 5 years of requirement in: front line software consulting, either as an individual contributor or project manager; consulting management, with experience in engagement delivery in software or hardware industry; and consulting experience in business development and account management.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Constantly strive to expand his/her scope of knowledge to additional products including staying abreast of new product features and supporting technologies for those products that you support.
- Posses a strong service orientation and finds challenge in problem solving complex situations.
- Effectively communicate mutually agreed upon expectations.
- Use good judgment when prioritizing goals.

- Must be able to adapt to changing goals while maintaining appropriate priorities.
