About the role
We currently have an opening available in both our Sydney and Melbourne offices for a Pre-Sales Engineer who is responsible for supporting our security products sold to our customers.
The Pre-Sales Engineer is expected to act as a technical advisor and product advocate by giving direction to team members to ensure that all customer inquiries are rightfully attended to on time.
They must be able to establish and maintain relationships with clients as well as maintain and support high customer satisfaction ratings that meet ESET standards.
It is expected of them to work closely with sales, product and technical teams to bring a strong focus of attention on the various ways our solutions meet customer needs.
Responsibilities include
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance, product education, and after-sales support services;
- Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFI’s (request for information);
- Presenting the product to customers;
- Provide technical ownership for the clients assigned to you;
- Undertake incident and problem management;
- Escalation point for level 1 and level 2 technical support;
- Assisting the sales team for the product delivery and quality assurance;
- Assisting resellers for problem solving, and system testing;
- Act as an escalation point for the sales team and technical sales procedural queries.
Skills and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Open and engaging personality with adaptable style;
- Self-Starter but capable of contributing to a team environment;
- Qualifications in IT or relevant degree;
- Learns quickly and able to modify;
- Ability to handle the pressure of meeting performance metrics; and
- Passionate about being the best.
