Job Description  

Project Manager, Products:

FLIR Unmanned Aerial Systems AS (FLR UAS) develops, manufactures and sells flying sensors for professional use. The company creates innovative solutions with new and modern technology and microelectronics and is a world leader in its field. The company currently has over 100 employees and plans to grow further.

FLIR UAS is now looking for a positive and structured project manager with expertise in project management at its head office in Hvalstad. The project manager is responsible for managing several internal Product development projects. FLIR UAS Norway operates in a matrix organization where R&D engineers works on projects run by the project manager. The person will work closely with product managers, technical leads, R&D engineers and finance to complete projects within scope, time and budget. The person is a member of the UAS Norway Product group and reports to Director Products.

 

Key responsibilities:

·         Project reporting

·         Manage several internal development projects simultaneously

·         Lead projects from requirements to completed project

·         Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget

·         Measure project performance and status

·         Project issue and risk management

·         Project documentation

·         Improving and establishing a solid project management process in line with FLIR NPI process and expectations

Desired Qualifications:

·         Formal project management qualifications such as Prince 2 or PMP

·         Experience as project manager preferably from the defense industry

·         Cross functional background with the ability to take a holistic overview of all parts of the project

The Project Manager reports to Director Products. Norwegian security clearance is required for this position. All applications must include CV and motivation letter.
