RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing efficient and robust ETL workflows (extract, transform, load)
  • Developing databases and APIs for the 1st recommendation engine in the coatings industry 
  • Modelling data as well as managing and integrating it
  • Building and optimizing the systems to enable data-scientists and -analysts to perform their work
  • Providing frontend implementation support and responsibility for KPI maintenance

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master or PhD in computer science, physics, (theoretical) chemistry, engineering, (business) informatics or in similar fields with an excellent degree
  • Long-time experience in development with Java, PySpark/Scala, business intelligence/data warehousing (e.g. SQL, relational databases)
  • Experience with Database and API design, as well as web frameworks (e.g. python & flask) 
  • Knowledge in cloud and web technologies and automation tools such as Kubernetes, Jenkins 
  • Broad Experience in working with agile development methodologies and with leading sub teams
  • Experience in B2B industries, preferably chemicals, paints & co
