Senior DBA

We're looking for a highly-motivated and talented DBA to join our R&D group, leading the group DB related developments and supports.

Design DB architecture, build, run and test DB operation, apply security rules, ensuring scalability, integrity, easy maintenance and best performance.
Responsibility over the application DB, Data Mart and ETL processes.

Lead and mentor the R&D developers

 

Responsibilities

  • Designing Data Base architecture ensuring best software operation
  • Building Data Base tables, running and testing DB operation according to architecture, time response and other criteria
  • Develop procedures for database maintenance, backup, archiving, mirroring etc.
  • Planning, managing and performing DB maintenance according to scheduled timetable, ensuring best performance
  • Optimizing application usage and tuning, upgrade, backup, archiving, replication, ETL processes and handling production systems and emerging issues
  • Interfacing with the various R&D Groups and Customer Support

 

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science/Industrial engineering , and/or practical relevant experience/knowledge
  • DBA certification

 

Requirements

  • 4+ Experience with SQL Server, including Always-On technology
  • 4+ years’ experience in ETL processes, mainly SSIS
  • Hands on experience
  • Experience with BI reporting tools like Cognos - advantage
  • Experience working with Enterprise scale data bases
  • Familiarity with Virtualization technology, VMWare, etc
  • Good analytical skills and original thinking
  • Good system level understanding of problems
  • Proven experience in operating within a global environment
  • Independent and innovative with the ability to lead problem definition and goal definition processes
  • Team player, incorporating with many interfaces from R&D, services & support teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and changing priorities
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working in Agile
