Senior IT Administrator

For a smaller team of administrators located in Bohemia's Brno office, we're looking for a new Senior IT Administrator who will help us maintain and further improve our network infrastructure. As our admin team consists of enthusiastic professionals who are always up for learning something new, we're looking for a similar mindset in our new colleague as well.

Main tasks:

  • Daily administration, maintenance and continuous innovation of our internal infrastructure and all of its servers and services
  • Taking resposibility for day to day decision making involving our IT services
  • Ensuring continuous functionality of our operations
  • Installation and administration of Virtual Machines (mostly on OS Debian)
  • Configuration of services and devices according to the assignment (e.g. installation of Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Maintenance of virtualization equipment and develompent/maintenance of backup/recovery solutions

Requirements:

  • Advanced use of Linux (Debian, CentOS)
  • Virtualization (Vmware, XenServer)
  • Advanced networking (routing, firewall, VPN)
  • Has experience with high availability technologies (eg. HA Proxy)
  • Shows willingness to explore new technologies
  • Connects well with how the company operates, has exceptional sense for loyalty and cares about the work he does
  • Owns driving licence for class B vehicles
  • Is able to actively use advanced level of English (to read technical documentation and to be able to communicate with our colleagues who only speak English)

Advantages over other candidates:

  • Experience with any/multiple router OS (Juniper JunOS, FortiOS)
  • Experience with administration of OpenLDAP, Couchbase, MySQL, SVN
