Senior OS developer and architect

  Job Description

  The technology keeps evolving and our cameras are being integrated with digital services that are both functional and slim. We are searching for a Software Architect that will be an important part of our journey to transform the industry through great embedded systems.

FLIR’s thermal cameras assist firefighters, naval rescue operations and the building industry to name a few customers, by giving them a sixth sense. As an Architect, you will work with programming and plan how the OS-team will work in order to develop new platforms for our cutting-edge cameras.

You will work with the OS-team, but also with engineers from other fields such as electronics, optics and mechanics. This means that you will be working in varying projects in different platforms depending on which part of the camera that you will need to develop. The team use scrum and are working with monthly sprint planning. The production department is located at our office which means that you are able to follow the whole process and see how each project becomes a finished end product.
 

About you

To be a successful Software Architect in our team we believe that you have a genuine interest in software embedded development, where your primary competence is in Linux development. Above that, we believe that you are passionate about architecture and problem solving.

Required:

• Several years of experience with C programming
• Several years of experience with Linux
• Linux driver development
• Embedded software development
• SW architect experience
