Senior Python UI Developer

Senior Python Developer (UI) - Exciting opportunity, join a growing team working remotely or optionally in our central London office.

Purpose

Under the guidance of the Director of Technology and Head of Development, contribute to the further design and development of systems involving the monitoring and enforcement on counterfeit brand products and digital content. Help lead the development team to deliver to agreed milestones.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Computer Science degree;
  • Excellent understanding of Python and strong knowledge of various Python Libraries, API's and toolkits;
  • Experience with Django;
  • Experience with Bootstrap;
  • Experience with Elasticsearch (crucial);
  • JSON/XML,HTML,CSS, and JavaScript skills, including JQuery;
  • Understanding and experience of the software development lifecycle and code repositories such as git, including branching and merging flows;
  • Deep understanding of how to write maintainable code and the importance of testing;
  • Experience writing unit tests;
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability communicate effectively with a technical and non-technical audience.

Preferred:

  • Experience of using of project management tools such as Redmine, JIRA;
  • Experience with Celery;
  • Experience with using Selenium or similar tools;
  • Web-scraping experience using Python and associated libraries/toolkits;
  • RESTful web service development;
  • Comfortable with collaborative tools such as wikis and basic ticket tracking systems;

  • Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide support and troubleshooting as necessary for the development team and clients;
  • Protect company assets by keeping information confidential;
  • Undertake other reasonable tasks as directed and necessary for the running of the company.
