We are looking for a brilliant and savvy Software Engineer to join our Service Reliability Engineering team, who are passionate about performance, reliability and uptime of systems and services. This is a great role for software expert who enjoys the platform, scale and performance aspects of software development. You will have great interest and challenges working on a fast growing scalable platform, working with other engineering teams designing monitoring and visualization techniques of our distributed and highly available systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, design, write and maintain software to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of Fiverr’s services.
• Collaborate with production engineers on architecture and design, creating growing number of distributed systems.
• Work alongside DevOps team designing and implementing tools and processes for better scale and reliability.
• Optimize the platform for superior performance by performing analysis and tuning.
• Participate in rotating on-call duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Doer, a winner, and a brilliant software engineer.
• 5 years of relevant experience in distributed backend systems.
• Experienced developer with passion for excellence and with very strong coding skills.
• Excellent understanding of modern web applications architecture and design.
• Strong knowledge of modern software languages (one of Ruby, Go, Java, Scala, etc’).
• Strong knowledge working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Very strong analytical skills.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast paced highly committed startup environment
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science from a leading institute
