About us We are Site Reliability Engineers in the SaaS Engineering organization that is responsible for LCM, on-boarding, monitoring, and managing SaaS-On-PaaS services developed by Product Development team. These SaaS-on-PaaS services are cloud services sold to customers and are built using one or more IaaS and/or PaaS services and are managed by Oracle. Working in the SaaS Engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting solutions utilizing Oracle Cloud products, providing the highest levels of availability, security, and performance.

The role will partner with Oracle SaaS product teams to leverage your experience in modern software development tools and processes, to build reliability and real-world capability into the product.
Time will be split between operational activities, product evolution, development of self-healing mechanisms, and various projects to enhance overall Oracle Cloud security and reliability. The role will require 24/7 availability and operational support. This position will require security clearance, therefore British citizenship is a must. Qualifications: • 6 to 10 years of experience in building and managing distributed applications in a Cloud environment, preferably using Oracle Cloud or one of the other major cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure• Have deep expertise in DevOps principles and an ability to develop automation utilizing a variety of technologies, including but not limited to: Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Linux, Git• Understanding and experience with CI/CD practices (Jenkins)• Strong technical background in cloud networking, storage, and security• Proficient with containerization and cluster management technologies like Docker and Kubernetes• Strong technical knowledge of monitoring and building dashboards (e.g. Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, etc)• Programming languages: Python, Go, bash• Preferred exposure to BigData tools and technologies – HDFS, Spark, Kafka• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills• Team player with strong communication skills and ability to work with others at all skill levels • Available to work in shifts with rotational day/night coverage
