Software Engineer

Overview

The successful engineer in this role will help the Security Incident Response Team securely develop, test, and deploy numerous essential tools that automate key aspects of our incident response. The team interacts with various other teams across TIBCO that are involved with incident response; strong communication skills and eagerness to learn are essential to doing this role well.

What You'll Do

• Create and update both design and functional specifications

• Implement and debug code

• Develop automated tests

• Participate in peer code reviews

• Assist in collaborations with other teams to identify requirements

• Assist in supporting tools used throughout TIBCO

• Participate in understanding and implementing security incident related specifications

• Create, configure, and deploy software using containerization technologies (such as Docker).

• Work with command-line tools

Who You Are

• BSCS minimum, MSCS preferred

• Required: experience with

  • Developing using Go

  • Full stack development

  • SQL databases

  • Linux command line

• Demonstrated ability with:

  • Clear communications

  • Learning new materials

• Ideally, some exposure to:

  • Container technologies (Docker)

  • Secure development practices
