

Solution Architect-UK
Checkmarx is looking for a Solution Architect who is passionate about helping customers implement integration solutions and services at scale. Ideal candidate is experienced technologist with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills. As a solution architect, you will work directly with some of our largest customers to enable successful integration of Checkmarx products and services into customers SDLC.
You will partner with Sales, Professional Services, and several other Checkmarx teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of our services. Our solutions architects build architectures and provide prescriptive guidance across various SDLC approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehend business strategies and requirements and develop custom solutions and designs to ensure successful implementations of Checkmarx products in to customer’s SDLC.
- Act as a contributing member of the project team from project inception to completion
- Develop and own ad hoc projects for internal or external use from design through implementation and deployment.
- Focal point for other departments such as R&D, Pre-Sales, Sales and Product
- Contribute to corporate knowledge base
- Plan and lead activities with customers (through email, on-line meetings, telephone calls and on-site visits) and ensure customer satisfaction with the Checkmarx services and solution
- Travel to customer sites for meetings and technical activities

Requirements:

- Degree in Software Engineering
- Proven experience designing software architecture
- At least 4 years of software development experience in one or more of these languages: Java / C# / PHP / C++
- Customer facing skills
- Deep understanding of large scale development life cycles and experience working and integrating with it (Source Code Repositories, Build Systems, Bug Tracking Tools).
- Writing and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- Background in the application security (penetration testing / code review) – significant advantage
- Any security certification – an advantage
- Travel required (up to 30%)
- Experience working with BSIMM or Open SAMM standards – significant advantage
- Strong communication skills. Fluent English – mandatory. Other Spoken languages – an advantage
