Sr. User Experience (UX) Designer (Hasselt)

JOB DESCRIPTION
Selligent is building their UX function and hiring its first full-time UX designer with an intention to build a
world class product design team to support the fast-growing marketing automation platform. This is a
highly visible position at Selligent and involves setting up UX best practices, processes, delivering great
product and contributing in building a design team. It’s an exciting time to join given the recent brand
refresh to Selligent Marketing Cloud and bringing an excellent leadership team on board, who have deep
appreciation and understanding of the value of delivering great customer experiences.
You will be responsible for providing design solutions that meet both user and business needs and owning
the UX for key product functions. You will gather insights from customers, explore product analytics data
and deliver product features while working closely with Scrum teams.

Primary responsibility

• Work closely with a team of product managers to deliver the best possible product for all B2B clients
• Establish, document and maintain user-centered design processes and integrate it with Agile
• Gather requirements, conduct guerilla research and usability testing as needed to uncover user needs, user behavior and design problems
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mockups and prototypes optimized for a
• wide range of devices to effectively communicate interactions and design ideas
• Make strategic design and UX decisions related to core product and its features
• Facilitate design workshops, evangelize UX and rationalize design decisions to stakeholders and peers
• Manage a design working group of 10-12 people consisting product managers, frontend and backend developers
• Ensure the continuous delivery of product features and enhancements with input from customers, partners and other stakeholders
• Have strong working relationships with developers, partners, marketing and executive team

Required Skills

• 7-10 years UX/UI design experience or equivalent
• Strong portfolio with some case studies for B2B and enterprise products
• Strong working knowledge of Sketch, Axure, Photoshop and associated design tools
• Solid understanding of design principles, user interface design patterns, style guides and UCD methodologies
• Solid understanding of grid systems, typography, web and mobile interface trends
• Able to take direction and critique and be a real team-player
• Excellent communication skills, robust and self-organised approach with a curious mind and desire to learn
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment essential

Nice to Have

• User research experience and deep understanding of research methods
• Educational background in HCI, psychology or UX
• Experience in building a SaaS product
• Knowledge of Dutch or French language
