

VoIP and Network Support Engineer
Voxbone is looking for a VoIP and Network Support Engineer to join its NOC (NetworkOperating Center) based in Brussels, Belgium.
Key responsibilities
Customers and prospect support via ticketing
- Troubleshoot VoIP and network issues
- Solve the issue or escalate it further to carriers or to 2nd Level VoIP & Network Support Engineer
- Communicate progress to the customer via the ticketing system
- Ensure high rate of customer satisfaction
Monitoring
- Make use of different monitoring and alerting tools
- Troubleshoot the issue when detected and send to ticketing process
- Proactively inform customers of detected issues
Projects & documentation
- Go through testing cycle of new technologies
- Enhance the technical documentation
- Test compliance of new carriers or partners before closing of agreement
Profile
- Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
- Previous technical support experience is an asset
- Proved knowledge of SIP and TCP/IP
- Basic understanding of Linux systems, Java applications or open-source VoIPapplications and SS7 network appreciated
- Capacity to provide professional feedback to customers in any circumstances
- Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term
- Excellent organisation skills to manage several work streams simultaneously
- Hands on and service minded
- Eager to learn, eye for details and stress-resistant
- Excellent English level, spoken and written combined with stunning communication skills
- Experience of working within and ITIL framework appreciated
- Willing to work on shifts (weekends & Bank Holidays)
