Web Applications Developer

We are an award winning application development (web and mobile) and digital solutions agency based in Edinburgh. We have a team of over 30 talented and passionate individuals who provide consulting, design, and development services to a great range of clients in the public and private sector - from start-ups to blue-chips.

We’re currently in an exciting period of growth and we’re looking for a talented Web Developer to come and support our team in an agile environment.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in building web based applications, working with APIs, modern front end technologies (Vue JS in particular, but also React or similar), and PHP (Laravel in particular).

Your main responsibilities will be:

· Developing Features in Agile Projects

· Working on projects for Enterprise and Start-ups

· Working closely with QA, Design, Product Owners, Mobile Engineers and Project Managers

· Maintaining a high standard of Engineering

· Attend Stand-ups and other Sprint Ceremonies

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

·       Understanding of OOP methodology

·       Experience in Modern Front End technology - ideally Vue JS or similar

·       Experience in Laravel or similar framework

·       Knowledge of Git/Version Control 

·       Understanding of Unit Tests (and the value of testing)

Desirable Skills and Experience

·       Experience of working in a Creative/digital agency environment

·       Experience in Cross Functional Teams

·       Experience of (W)Agile Environment 

·       Understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment
